This is probably my biggest concern, besides stability on my good battery life M1 Air base with 11.6

Mine has been draining when sleeping. It will stay warm or sleep for a bit then get warm after. I will charge it to 80% and overnight it will be below 30%. This is on the Intel mac.

Worse for me on M1 MBP and it's not just perceived battery life. Actual power consumption is higher on average. Have to use low power mode to achieve similar battery life I got in Big Sur. Also, the UI doesn't feel as smooth anymore in some scenarios.

Using an M1 Air and I'm experiencing very poor battery life in comparison to Big Sur. Doing the same tasks, I'm already down to 60% by noon while before it would be around 80-85%. I'm also noticing that Safari seems to be listed all the time as using "significant energy" without having any different websites open. Therefor wondering if it's just a Safari problem?

Worse and memory leaks I’m gonna stay put on BS for a while

Keep the input coming but much appreciate it!

I've actually switched back to Big Sur and the battery life on my M1 Air is back to what I was getting before. I know that there are additional features in Monterey that contribute to more battery drain probably. With low power mode enabled, the battery was much better but still not better than what it was on Big Sur. I'll wait for more bug fixes and see how it is after.

that sucks I think its bad optimization more than 'features tacked on'

its not like M1 power cant handle the new ugly tabs in Safari and other frivolous changes
