No it shouldn't lose 10% at night from doing nothing. Probably somewhere b/w 2-3%.How much does your new iPad's battery decrease overnight?
Mine, while it is asleep and all apps are quit, loses about 10% a night simply sitting there untouched. My iPhone 4 only loses about 1-2%.
Is this normal? Thanks
I have brightness on about 60%, push data off, all my apps are quit, and location services turned off. Is there anything else I can do to lower battery consumption? I might just return it, because that is unacceptable if everyone else here only loses 2-3%.No it shouldn't lose 10% at night from doing nothing. Probably somewhere b/w 2-3%.
Is this a new iPad?I took my ipad of the charger at 6am this morning and got to work, propped it up and started running Pandora. Its now 1245 pm here and its still sitting at 98%.
No iCloud, no apps running in the background, mail is on fetch, location services off, brightness is dimmed. I feel like I'm doing everything to conserve battery and it's still getting F'd. Is a faulty battery a possibility? I know this new iPad uses battery but damn, it shouldn't be this much. Are you doing an iCloud backup? Do you have any apps running in the background that might be active (music, navigation, etc.)? Mail on fetch or push? Not everybody sets up the iPhone and iPad the same way so different settings could be a factor in the device performance.
yep and max brightness. Are you doing an iCloud backup? Do you have any apps running in the background that might be active (music, navigation, etc.)? Mail on fetch or push? Not everybody sets up the iPhone and iPad the same way so different settings could be a factor in the device performance.
Yes. I have had no issues with charging or battery draining very fast. Screen brightness is only at 50% and when its using pandora on my desk I just have the screen off.Is this a new iPad?
that defeats the great benefit of having an iPad. Very long standby time. Why not just turn it off?
No smart cover. I have the wifi only model.1-2% overnight. Do you have a smart cover? Is cellular data on or off? I leave mine off unless I plan to use it.
Yeah but if you're sleeping it's no use to you anyways. I can understand keeping it on during the day, but when you're sleeping I don't understand why you wouldn't just turn it off.that defeats the great benefit of having an iPad. Very long standby time.
