How much does your new iPad's battery decrease overnight?

Mine, while it is asleep and all apps are quit, loses about 10% a night simply sitting there untouched. My iPhone 4 only loses about 1-2%.

Is this normal? Thanks

No it shouldn't lose 10% at night from doing nothing. Probably somewhere b/w 2-3%.

I have brightness on about 60%, push data off, all my apps are quit, and location services turned off. Is there anything else I can do to lower battery consumption? I might just return it, because that is unacceptable if everyone else here only loses 2-3%.

Mine stays at 100% for a long time. Way longer than a day. I think it will go 48 hours and still be at 100%. Only tested for 24 hours so far though.

Wifi On, everything else off.
50% Brightness

Mine was at 98% and I've been using it off and on (downloading apps, surfing, constantly connected to wifi) for about 6 hours and I'm down to 90%.

Are you doing an iCloud backup? Do you have any apps running in the background that might be active (music, navigation, etc.)? Mail on fetch or push? Not everybody sets up the iPhone and iPad the same way so different settings could be a factor in the device performance.

No iCloud, no apps running in the background, mail is on fetch, location services off, brightness is dimmed. I feel like I'm doing everything to conserve battery and it's still getting F'd. Is a faulty battery a possibility? I know this new iPad uses battery but damn, it shouldn't be this much.

About 10% overnight here. And why does it matter about screen brightness. The screen is t being used overnight. I had LTE on so I'll turn that off tonight and see if it made a diferance.

Ok I just played DrawSomething for about 10 minutes and it went down 5%, from 39% to 34%. I don't think that's acceptable.

How much drain would it be to have wifi, 3g and/or bluetooth active (even if they're not doing anything)? I know wifi is quite a battery drainer on my iPhone, even though I have all apps off and nothing set to push.

Maybe put it in airplane mode one evening and see if it still drains that much?

1-2% overnight. Do you have a smart cover? Is cellular data on or off? I leave mine off unless I plan to use it.

I've found with ios that if you use any location services, you need to reboot to retain battery life. For some reason, even if you're not using that program anymore, the phone drains quicker. So, just do a reboot as you go to sleep.

that defeats the great benefit of having an iPad. Very long standby time.
Yeah but if you're sleeping it's no use to you anyways. I can understand keeping it on during the day, but when you're sleeping I don't understand why you wouldn't just turn it off.
