Has anyone else notice that the full screen display on BBC iPlayer app is smaller on the new 12.9” iPad Pro, than the previous version?

By my measuring 290mm diagonal on new iPad Pro against 300mm on previous versions, as it does not use the full display width for unknown reason. A bit disappointing - I hope the BBC updates their App. Strange because YouTube is fine. Also the TV app makes full use of the display.

The BBC iPlayer in Safari does make full use of screen if streaming, but the app must be used to download.

This is a bit odd as the 12.9 isn’t a different resolution to last years model.

I expected issues with the 11” but not the 12.9.
