Glenn Beck is a nutjob--he will see God in anything that suits him politically. I'm relieved actually, because from the title I thought you were referring to the musician.

What's crazy is how obsessed this forum is with him. If you want him to go away, stop talking about him and tell your friends to the same and so forth and so on.

Yeah that doesn't work. Millions of people think every word this guy says is gospel.

In real life ignoring problems doesn't make them dis-appear...

Seriously, who gives a crap about that or what he said. And why is that on mediamatters.com? I thought they were supposed to be a media watchdog site not a liberal hit site to pick on trivial BS. There are many other things that Beck says that you can pick on. This is just fluff.

I think the media needs to take a long Glen Beck holiday. This is all just free publicity for Mr. Beck. Maybe if news outlets spent more time reporting the news, you know, rather than reporting news of the news. I'm not sure what's worse, Glen Beck or those who care what he says one way or another.

TQ, you're new here, so you may have missed a few key signs that describe the function to this place we find ourselves here at MR.

This site is... say it with me... a forum.

Let's look that up, shall we?

    fo·rum   [fawr-uhm, fohr-uhm]
    –noun, plural fo·rums, fo·ra  [fawr-uh, fohr-uh]

An assembly, meeting place, television program, etc., for the discussion of questions of public interest.

It's funny how every now and then somebody will post the question, "Why is everybody here talking about X, Y, or Z?"

And now you know. It's the very purpose of this site.

    It's a forum.

    We talk about things.

Is that a difficult concept to understand?

Oh... and I almost forgot to mention...

Geese flying over the reflecting pond is just a wee bit short of a miracle.

Unless of course you're a self-absorbed, delusional charlatan desperate to find anything that confirms your inflated self-image.

    Pathetic.

I've been posting here longer than you have. Quite the friend-winning attitude you have. Decaf next time?

Oh I almost forgot to mention. Thanks a million for feeding said self-absorbed delusional charlatan's ego. You and the 50 million who can't let the twerp go.

Well, he did refer to this incredible augury on Fox News, so I think it's fair game. Beck's show is a target rich environment, I think sometimes the guys at Media Matters just start shooting at everything, regardless of importance.

The more interesting comment from Beck was actually his statement that most Christians would not recognize Obama's beliefs, defined as Liberation Theology.

Actually yes...many advertisers have pulled their adds from Glenn's time spot in recent months thanks largely to people bitching about him.

And yet for all my relative noobness, I still understand the role of a forum better than you.

Sorry I'm not coming across all warm and snuggly.

    Here.

    He'll be your friend.

He is worth keeping an eye on purely for the power he commands. Never let such people out of your sight or be damned for doing so. I fear he is the part of the religious right's attempt at a political resurgence. Be on your guard.

Christ. Double whoosh. Isn't it a school night? Do you have anything sensible to add. Or do you want to continue to respond to posts you don't understand.

On the plus side, no one seems to be talking about the charlatans. Substantively I mean.
