I just checked iTunes and its out.

So far so good. No one is online to test push with me.

Get it!

LOL. Push Servers are going to be hurting tonight.

I doubt the push servers will be affected, they should be designed to push a lot more then just beejive.

This has been talked about for so long. Before posting next time at least glance at the threads already there :)

Is the push notification the actual message, or is it just a push to the application badge that shows you have new messages?

How much battery drain is it putting on phones?

Thanks.

You can pick. Badge, Sound, or Alert. You can turn them on or off independently. The alert is the SMS-preview like pop up box. The badge is just a red number on the app's icon.

I turned off the sound and alert. The badge is good enough for me.

Sweet, I will have to check it out. The app was $9.95 last night, I should have picked it up then!

I think it's important to take a minute to recognize how much whining went on about apple not being ready to start push on time and how everyone said they were going to switch back to their blackberry because apple can't do anything right. This works extremely well for any technology, let alone a first gen tech from a company with no experience in anything similar in the past. Personally i hope the 3 day delay was enough time for those traitors to switch back to their blackberries, because it's just more push capacity for the rest of us. Thank you apple.

Yup, it does not work with Yahoo at all.

I have reported it to BeeJive though I am not sure if it is their issue or not.

But my desktop Yahoo client is working, so I just assumed it was on BeeJive to fix.

I hope they do or I wasted 10 bucks.

For those who cannot get onto Yahoo, I believe they upgraded their authentication server process recently, in which case beejive will need a update to incorporate those changes.
