Anybody else notice a disparity here?

looks like the Iranians should get better lawyers?

if you don't respond to a suit, your results will likely be worse than if you do?

european courts put a lower value on lost life than american courts?

you can get the americans to agree to a settlement when they've messed up, but not the iranians??

the iranians will actually get paid but the americans are likely to get nothing?

Someone needs to sue the US for the hundreds of thousands of Iraqi deaths they are responsible for, and the millions of people that have had to flee the country.

Well, seeing as it was a US federal court that demanded Iran pay them instead of an international court, I wouldn't pay the US a dime either.

And the Iranians bombed a military target; the US shot down a civilian airliner.

It wasn't even the Iranians. If it was anything to do with them at all, it was their proxies, so should the US be sued for all the damage done by the Israelis?

Wow, there really is no limit to how far you'd stretch to make something into an indictment of the US while being an apologist for rogue nations. Without getting in to the details of these particular trials, just look to the results of lawsuits against asbestos, tobacco, and other industries and you'll see that the payout per person is quite different. Too many variables from the litigants themselves to the evidence presented.

Move along. Nothing to see here.

The US is a rogue nation, too.

    That is very true.

Yes, if Iran is getting sued for something it had nothing to do with, I think the US should get sued for the damage done by Israel.

Fixed for reality. Which is sad, because it is true.

Maybe I'm wrong, but are you inferring that the Iranians lives are worth less that the Americans. Would be similar to statements you've made in the past, but I'm sure I'm reading too much into it. Please tell me I'm wrong.
