Debbie Washerwoman-Schlitz and the Democratic Neocon Coalition will resist this with every once of their strength.

Good. The US needs to stop coddling Israel.

Yeah, cause if the Indians wanted their land back here, and starting firing rockets from their super nice reservations, we would treat them ever so gently.

After 2000 years of taking crap because of Catholicism in Europe and the fear generated by those kings and popes, I say let Israel do what they want with those hostile elements that want to kill every jew everywhere.

Sure, but we don't need to be party to this.

I'm all for isolationism, but only if we do it everywhere -- not just discrete places. Let's stop giving weapons and money to all other countries and pull out of the Mideast entirely.

Maybe demand that Germany be a "party to it" then. After all, without Germany and WWII, Israel wouldn't exist. So let Germany deal with helping them. Its the least they can do for almost wiping European jewry off the face of the earth.

We just need to be smarter and funnel money and assistance to Israel via third-parties and not stamp the weapons with made in the USA. Leave that part blank!

You think isolation is the answer? Seriously?

Ready for $200 a barrel oil?

Ok with Iran expanding to include the Saudi peninsula?

Ok with the new Soviet Union as Russia takes back everyone who used to be part of their empire?

How about China taking over the entire South Asia region?

    All good?

Israel's too busy dealing with their own affairs than to act as a bulwark against any of those scenarios. They'd make for excellent allies were they to arise, but they'd hardly serve the dividing line between victory and utter defeat.

THIS is not what "isolation" means.

Ready for $200 a barrel oil?

--Yes. It would result in a massive expansion of greenhouse-free nuclear power.

Ok with Iran expanding to include the Saudi peninsula?

--Absolutely. I'd rather see Persians in charge than those ISIS-enabling Saudis.

Ok with the new Soviet Union as Russia takes back everyone who used to be part of their empire?

--I doubt Putin wants to take back all the Ickystans but he's welcome to them. He's welcome to Lativia, Estonia, and Lithuania, too.

How about China taking over the entire South Asia region?

--China is never going to take over India, Bangladesh, or Pakistan nor would they want to.

    All good?

Considering the Saudis likely funded a lot of 9/11 that's about the one country where I might be willing to support regime change, and if the Iranians are nice enough to do it for us (realistically they wouldn't want to) then that would be great.

And we do need to stop having candidates that put Israel's interests above America's. The world would be a safer place if we told the Israelis that they had to accept their original UN mandated borders or else we would no longer help with their defense.

Now I understand the reasons these threads are so hard for the sane to grasp, since the opinions here are really quite frightening.

"Those who do not learn from history, are doomed to repeat it." Has never rung so true.

Too bad. He's better than Hillary and Trump. Amazing how his approval rating continues to rise as people realize they'll be stuck with one of those bafoons next year.

But Obama only became a TV star after he started hangin' out with Bear Grylls... ;)
