Best external ALL IN ONE display--i.e. TV/Xbox/Mac input

I'm going to buy a MBP. I am also going to buy an external display. I'm going to university, and would like to have a 'display' that can also take a console input and receive digital TV. Otherwise I have to buy an external computer display and a TV, which is expensive and not good for desk space!


Any suggestions?

Get both. I have a 30" 2560x1600 display and a 40" 1920x1080 HDTV and I prefer using the HDTV for movies and games. The HDTV is not at all suited to be a display for typical computer stuff, the pixel size is too large. Likewise a typical 20-24" display isn't good as a TV.
