look at other world computing, they have a guide where you can just select your model and it will show you all the available cards and their prices.

the BEST card you could get would probably be a Radeon 9800, the most efficient (cost/performance) would be a Radeon 9000.

If price is an issue, you may have difficulty finding a cheap card that will support CoreImage and CoreVideo. The list of supported cards is mostly high-end.

For cheaper cards with more graphics memory, there is the Radeon 9000 and the newly announced Radeon 9200 which both have 128 MB. The 9200 is PCI-based, so you can still use your GeForce for another monitor. It's going for $129.

Otherwise... there is the retail 9800 Pro and SE, but these cards are likely overkill with 1 GHz G4s.

You could also flash a PC version 9600, 9700 or 9800 with the Mac ROM, but I've never tried this.

Unfortunately, nVidia doesn't sell retail cards... you could try picking up an OEM card off of eBay, however.

    Best choice?

GeForce Ti 4400 for Mac, $269 at

4X AGP, a bit slower than a 9700 and is about the right speed compared to your CPU.

The 9800se isn't an option for the G4.
If i were you, i'd buy a 9800 pro off ebay, they're going for pretty cheap these days (~250 ebay, ~300 new). It may be overkill, but hey... why not ?
