Hey folks,

Looking for some expert advice (read: other enablers) to help me choose some great multiplayer games on the Wii VC, since most of my Wii use is for multiplayer gaming anyway.

I'm definitely into Mario Kart 64, Streets of Rage, etc., but I'm kind of at a loss now...a lot of the classics are single player, and there's a surprising amount of trash on the VC.

Any thoughts on multiplayer VCing?

What about the just-released Super C? Contra III?

There's always Bomberman. :D

I know nothing about the space shooters, but there's got to be a few 2-player games floating around?

Gunstar Heros, Contra 3(I say Contra 3 is better)

Mario games have Multiplayer, just at different times.

Ice Hockey for NES is very fun.

Super Probotector, Mario Kart 64, F-Zero X, Streets of Rage 2

*bolded games that if you don't buy I will find where you live and [politely encourage you] till you get the game.

If they just made rehashes of the Streets of Rage series, I would play them over and over again, and continue to pay money for them.

Slightly off-topic, but another fantastic beat-em-up (for sheer ridiculousness value) is Fighting Force (I believe) on the PS1. Three-dimensional beat-em-up with plenty of friendly fire. What a fantastic multiplayer game.

I have that, but this is a thread about VC games. :)

I also have the firs SF2 SNES and two arcade sticks for the Cube I got off eBay.

Whenever I visit Montreal I take in a movie at the theatre beside Simons. And by "take in a movie" I mean "whoop my friend's candy asses in the coin-op CvS2".

So, um, yeah. Get Street Fighter. And hone your skills. In case.... you're ever in a French Canadian movie theatre...?

I just play the Cube version. I've only been to an arcade a couple of times in the past decade. :)

Ahhh, the glory days of getting my arse handed to me. There were always these dudes during the era of SF2 that would roll their head around as if their neck was bothering them, especially when they lost a round.

Now days I play with a long time friend and he owns me 80% of the time. I get frustrated, but never mad. He generally beats anyone that plays against him, so if you're ever down here in southern California, you can challenge him. With my luck, I would random Dan against you.

My favorite character is Ken.

Ken is my top choice as well.

Whereabouts in Socal? I lived there (briefly)

Orange County. Up until a couple of months I lived in Laguna Hills (Borders Irvine).

Anyway, Dungeon Explorer is multiplayer. I wish I could trade my download in for credit though.
