Like many, I am somewhat frustrated by the fact that Apple waited to release the best color for the iPhone Pro range this year. I currently have an iPhone 13 PM in Sierra Blue, purchased through Apple and with AT&T's trade in bonus. The phone has a slight dent on the screen - should I take it to Apple, get a replacement under AppleCare, and ask for green (they probably wouldn't do this). Just sell the phone outright? What would an iPhone 13 PM get on the sale market right now?

Black is actually the best color, which they already offer (whatever they are calling black now).

But that aside, Apple replaces like for like. Get a replacement for your dented phone, you're going to get a Sierra Blue phone back. Apple does this to prevent exactly the thing you'd like to do - use a replacement for a new color (carrier model or capacity change too).

No idea what the 13PM goes for.

Apple will not swap out your device for a different color. Your best course is to get a replacement SB iPhone 13PM, sell it and then purchase the alpine green color.

How about just sticking with the Sierra Blue phone? If you dislike the fact that Apple holds back some colors to push sales later in the year, you shouldn‘t support it.

You can always wrap it or use a case if you want to change it up a little.

When you replace Apple devices for warranty replacement or AppleCare + replacement it will always be apple to apple, orange to orange like for like. They will not replace your Sierra Blue for the Alpine Green. Best would be just sell your current one as is and get the one you want.

Just curious, why waste money on a color. Can't you just slap a case on it? Maybe and hopefully Apple could bring out the green on iPhone 14 at launch (though I don't like green).

@Adelphos33 if you sell the phone outright you are still responsible for those reoccurring payments/billing credits through AT&T. Be careful.

I’m guessing that “slight dent in the screen“ is because you didn’t have it in a case and at some point dropped it or put it in your pocket. If so, good luck getting Apple to replace it.
