I just ordered and received a new SATA 3 SSD and some X5355 CPUs, but I'm not sure what to do now. Installing El Capitan on the machine was extremely hard and took a long time (because it's so old), but it works just perfect now. I really want to keep all my stuff as it is now, but upgrade to Clovertown CPUs and an SSD upgrade as well. Here's an issue: My SSD is only 60GB (I just need it for OS X basically), but I have maybe 200GB on my HDD at the moment. So my questions are: How can I upgrade to an SSD, while only keeping the applications and basically ignoring the files on my desktop, which are maybe around 200GB? How can I, after SSD, upgrade to Clovertown, without everything screwing up? Followup: Should I upgrade to an SSD THEN do the BIOS mod or whatever to make the CPUs available or? Any help is greatly appreciated! I'm not sure what I should do first, without reinstalling OS X. Thanks!
