When your wife is being investigated by the FBI and the person who will make the call just happens to meet you at an airport for a discussion about grandchildren. Can't make this **** up.

Looks like Bill will not only be running Hillary's economy, but will be heading up her criminal division as well aka keeping her out of prison.

Yes, because when you're conspiring with the AG, you do it in the public eye.

Nice thread though, I give it 2 @aaronvan

    Gee, I dunno.

I'm not an ethics professor nor did I sleep at a Holiday Inn, but I seem to remember in the training I received that improprieties or the appearance of improprieties should be avoided at all costs.

But, this administration isn't even trying to hide it anymore.

Either the AG is stupid or doesn't give two *****.

Did you ever think this was the entire reason for doing it?

So they can use this exact argument?

"I mean look guys, if we were conspiring on anything don't you think we would have done it it private?"

Like Kaiser Söze says "The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist."

Hahaha. And there are still people who think Hillary will be indicted?

The rich and connected don't have to follow the same laws as the proletariat.

I don't think it matters at this point... While there are a large number of people who will vote for her because they are soooo anti Trump or because "Like...OMG she has a vagina too...I should totally support that"

However, to anyone with a brain, if that even exist anymore, she's damaged goods. So much in fact, that even though they would never admit it in public, they will probably put a vote up for Trump in private...

I think is is the year when polling REALLY REALLY means nothing...

Amusing. 20 years ago, the same sorts of people were complaining about how Hillary was running Bill's economy.

    Can't make this **** up.

In what universe is this appropriate, regardless of what was discussed? If I visited a DA's house to talk golf whilst my wife's actions were the subject of one their investigations, I'd be escorted away by police. Perhaps even questioned for obstruction.

The Attorney General has behaved, at the very least, with utter incompetence here.

You can "protest vote" for anyone you like but the reality is that one of those two will be the President elect come November.

Our best hope at this point is to punt, hope the defense doesn't **** up too bad, and come back in 4 years with better candidates.

Is it illegal for a former President to have a conversation with the Attorney General? I'll suggest there are better ways to have less public contact if your goal is to influence. And if nothing is leveled against Hillary, and the meeting never happened, the accusation would be made anyway by the Oh-so-wrong, Right Wing.

Or pull a Pete Carroll and call a short slant across the middle on the one-yard line when you have Marshawn Lynch just standing there. Bwa-ha-ha

Maybe, maybe not. But Seahawks fans will be haunted by the possibility until the end of time and that's enough for me.

Is that seriously how the bar is set for you? Provided it's not illegal, then it's acceptable?

You see absolutely no appearance of a conflict through this meeting? It does not matter what they discussed, it should never have happened. The appearance of impropriety is something the chief prosecutor of a government should be avoiding at all costs.

Right. This meeting was a bad idea.

This argument is entirely circular and sounds, basically like the Catherine Trammell gambit.
