This will most likely fall down a rat hole fairly quickly but...here it goes.

This happened yesterday. The dude should not have even been allowed to carry any guns with his mental history.

My question, should a person have to give up their guns once a restraining order is filled against them? Or if there is evidence of domestic violence.

I don't own a gun, and probably never will. But . . . take someone's gun away when they get a restraining order posted against them? I don't know, do we also take their kitchen knives, baseball bats, power tools, axes, etc. ?

    1. where does it state the rifle was legally acquired?
    2. the man was looney tunes to a degree, he should have not been able to LEGALLY purchase a gun.

What about being bipolar and off of meds. Is that enough reason to not possess firearms.

    1. might depend on his state, here in CA nephews ex wife had to surrender her guns AFTER my nephew got the court involved, she was 5150'd due to depression about 3 times. it was only after my nephew got the courts involved that she lost the guns.
    2.thanks missed that.

Have you ever read a 4473? Lautenberg Amendment?
