I personally have never purchased music on my phone. When I buy music, I do it at my desk but I guess if you "need that song immediately!" this can be a good thing.

I have a blackberry and was SUPER excited when I heard this. One of the main reasons that I wanted an iPhone is that it had the music store with it and I'm a HUGE impulse music shopper.

As a bonus, it's allegedly $.99 per song (flat) and DRM-Free

This is actually funny. The iphone went from consumer and now moving towards business use. While the Blackberry has been the business phone now moving towards consumer. Create the competition.

A DRM-free, multi-national store is good for competition. Good for RIM and 7Digital. :)

I did start buying a good chunk of my music from my iPhone, once the iPhone presented the opportunity, although starting to shop at Amazon as well as iTunes (in the US, this is) made me move back to the desk some. It wasn't so much "I need it right now" impulse buying as that there would often be songs I'd want, but it wouldn't always occur to me that I want them. I'd hear them while I was out or someone would be talking about them, and then I'd forget, and then a couple of weeks later hear about them again and forget about them again. So I find it convenient to get them while they're on my mind.
