I vowed a few years ago that StarCraft II would be the next game that I would actually move myself to pay full-price for. I've made one exception: Escape Velocity Nova. All others had to wait until they went on sale.

I'm happy for S. Korea as they will once again relive their national passtime.

And me? Well, my fiancee might not be too happy for a couple months following the release, but think about it this way... I've known StarCraft twice as long as I've known her.

Maybe I'll actually get her hooked... then she won't be able to blame me so much. It's not about the game... it's about beating down your neighbors in epic battles.

Damn, I'm going to need to get a new computer... my 800MHz G4 iMac isn't going to cut it... It'll barely run WCIII... and that's as old as the computer itself!

At least it'll be a while before its release...

I can't wait until this game comes out. I've just spent 5 hours waiting for the 20 mins of HD gameplay to download. It better have been worth it. I'm really looking forward to seeing the crazy custom maps people are going to make using the new map editor.

I'm very excited as well, as a huge StarCraft fan of yore. So far they've only shown new Protoss units, with the exception of the terran guys who can jump over inclines. Looking forward to seeing more of that in particular, as terrans were always my fave. Also hoping "when it's ready" doesn't mean 2008 or later.

The original StarCraft is a classic in my book. I'm glad it will now be followed by another, this will be great. Can't wait until it is release, cheers Blizzard!

    Love Blizzard

I love how Blizzard doesn't usually leave us Mac folk out.
I'm very grateful they do hybrid discs of most of their products (or atleast make a mac version available).
they even make updates to older games like starcraft to run under OSX etc.
If only every gaming company had such support we would all be in good shape for games.
