I bought a new Blue Snowball Microphone, but I'm having recording problems. I hooked the Snowball up to my MBP, and have tested it on a multitude of applications, using various USB ports. The results vary from audio dropping in and out, to audio so quiet I can barely hear it.

For further testing, I connected the Snowball to a Windows XP machine and tested it out, with great results, granted I only tested it once, not extensively.

I've checked, and re-checked all my audio settings for Leopard and individual programs, and everything is correctly set. I've tested different USB cables with the same results. My internal microphone works fine, as well as my speakers. Is there something wrong with the Snowball or my MBP? Any advice would be most appreciated. Thank you.
