Does anyone thing it bodes strange that the apple.com store says that the bluetooth adapter is temporarily unavailable? I can't imagine they have sold the stockpile of them already...they were just introduced.

Should be interesting to see what happens on Tues. the 14th.

I ordered mine as soon as they were introduced, and now, on the Danish Apple Store, they're "Temporarily unavailable" too. I haven't received it yet...

I wonder why.

Could be a desire to ....

Maybe they want to build a surplus of available hardware to coincide with the release of the Jagwire (10.2)...Perhaps they think they will get more new sales of the new desktops with built-in bluetooth...if the plug-ins are unavailable. All of this happening at the same time as the final episode of the X-Files is strange passings...

hmmm... this only point to one thing

lets just look at the facts here:

1. bluetooth adapters are unavailable
2. Aggeman is calling applestore
3. bluetooth adapters are unavailable in the danish store aswell.

This all points to one thing!

Apple is releasing the G5!!!!!!!!! (most likely tomorrow)

See bluetooth unavailable in danish store = G5

(for those of you who didn't figure it out, I'm only joking)

No one will buy a new PowerMac just because they can't get bluetooth adaptors from Apple. That's just crazy.

It is weird that they've 'run out' already, though, but I don't think it means anything... other than a lot of people are interested in bluetooth, perhaps? :p

LOL :)

Well actually I did call them. And they told me nothing other than the usual yadda yadda - it's delayed and it should be in stock at May 21st. Nothing special.

He also did not know if there would be Macs with built-in bluetooth at any time.

Also, I don't think they've run out of adapters. I ordered mine at the first day it was available, so I can't imagine that any adapters has shipped (here in Denmark at least)

has anyone got one?

There's logic...... cancelling it is the longest delay possible.... :p

But like what Hemingray said, it's happening way to often with Apple recently!!

I still contest that there is more to it...

With an assortment of potential new delivery candidates coming really soon with built-in bluetooth support...this really is just another flaming hot bricket under some people...Obvioulsy bluetooth isn't the only reason they would upgrade...but I think apple is counting on it being further motivation.

especially once all of 10.2's hot new bluetooth enabled features bubble to the surface!
