Books on iPadOS — Line Guide bug?

Not sure I’ll get any responses, but wondering if anyone on iPadOS 18.x is seeing bugs with the Line Guide feature in Books. Turning it on seems to have no effect on my eBook. However, on iOS 18.x, it seems to work as expected.

I’ve tried various ways on my iPad to get this feature working, but it hasn’t. Tips? Experiences?

I just tested and it works fine on my iPad on iPadOS 18.1.1. Maybe try changing the line guide background dimming to high?

I think my setting is on high. I may need to delete Books and reinstall. It worked once when the iPad was brand new but hasn’t after I turned off the feature for the first time.

I found a way to resolve the issue I'm experiencing. I used the setting, Reset Theme (or some such wording) to basically reset the eBook settings back to default. This then probably reset the Line Guide feature too and it's now working.
