Boot USB

Hi, is it possible to boot usb through a emac (powerpc) running 10.3.9.
 
As far as I know you can only boot intel macs off of a USB drive. PowerPC models are stuck with firewire.
 
Have a look at this article and see if it works for you. Not necessarily for the faint of heart though...make sure you understand what you're doing.
 
I would advise caution and prejudice when dealing with NVRAM and Open Firmware. Tread lightly.
