Hey, I really want to run some .exe files so I decided to try out bootcamp, but I'm having some confusion with it, I was hoping you guys could help.

Anyway I went to my utilities folder and clicked on Boot Camp Assistant, then partioned about 5gb of my harddrive for windows, then clicked "partition" took a while and then finally this message pops up

"The disk cannot be partitioned because some files cannot be moved.
Back up the disk and use Dick Utility to format it as a single Mac OS Extended (journaled) volume. Restore your information to the disk and try using Boot Camp Assistant again"

idk, but that confused me, not sure what I'm suppose to do next, tried opening the disk utility application but that still didn't help me on what I should do next.

Thanks

I've given you the answer(s) in my previous post.

ahhh my bad.

"You're going to need to reformat or defrag the drive. There might be 30 GB free except there isn't a 20 GB chunk of that space that's contiguous."

and how do you do this exactly?

thanks!
