Bought 3 iphone 5's today, two of them clearly defective...

    I'm not a very fussy consumer, but when I received my pre-ordered Iphone 5 32 GB in black, I immediately noticed a big DENT in the rear case as well as SCRATCHES.

    I took it in to the local apple store and to their credit they very efficiently replaced it. Took the new one home, opened the box, and there were no HEADPHONES.

    The third one I bought, a white one for my wife, was fine.

    If you look at that somewhat dark picture you can see a dent near the left edge of the picture, and deep scratches over and above the apple logo.

    So far I'd have to say the quality control of the iphone 5 sucks. Apple should be all over the factory on these issues.

    So much for preorders, you still had to wait in line for the Gn=enius Bar.

    This is why I never order a launch batch of any product.

    Since you're an eye surgeon I would expect you to see flaws. Get them back to Apple ASAP.

    You can always exchange it.
