Is it safe to say 5s release could be the week of September 23rd?

Mine is still showing 09/15/2014, received on release day. Consider yourself one of the lucky ones.

My upgrade date was moved back when AT&T changed their upgrade policy. :(

Mine still says 9/14/14 on AT&T. I usually get an early upgrade option but so far not this time.

    Mastershakess,

I think it's saying that you can upgrade at a discount. You will still have to pay something up front for a new phone. It won't be like a full upgrade, but it won't be the full amount of the phon either. It'll be something in the middle. Usually $100-200 cheaper than buying the phone outright, but definitely not the $99 (or whatever) down on a full upgrade.

Yep, same here - my updates moved from April 14, 2014 to September 14, 2014. And in the past, AT&T always let me update early, because we have a Family Plan with 5 lines.

Yeah AT&T changed their upgrade policy so you have to complete your full two years before upgrading.

or if you want to early upgrade, pay $250 on top of the subsidized price of the iPhone. For example, if the iPhone costs $199 with new 2 year agreement, you pay an extra $250, same goes for the $299/$399 price points

It would be best to just sell the iPhone 5 to recoup the cost of that $250

It's an early upgrade not a full upgrade. So you'll pay $250 on top of which iPhone you get.

All my upgrades are exactly 2 years. And I have 7 lines on a premier account. I passed down my 4 to my dad last year so I'd have an upgrade available for this year. Not sure if I'm going to use it at this point or just tell him to get whatever the free iPhone is next week.

Online rep said I'm eligible for full upgrade (No $250 fee) on 9.23.13, good news for me.

I'm confused, how did you get your date changed to Sept 2013 when your contract expires Sept 2014?

I was lucky in that I upgraded in February of 2012, and even though they changed the rules, my next upgrade was still August of this year. I have 1 line ready for an upgrade. My other line moved to 24 months - September of next year.

I got an iPhone5 on launch day and ATT says I can get a 5s for $199, $299 or $399, effective on Sept 15.

I didn't do anything, I just looked at my account and that's what it said under upgrade eligibility

    $199

    Are you getting a 5S?

Many of the AT&T corporate FAN discounts still offer early upgrades. Perhaps this is what some people are seeing.

    Cheers,
