I have an IMEI number but the ICCID is unknown, so I'm guessing this was jailbroken previously?

The phone is also locked to China Unicom which I annoyingly noticed after I had received it (it wasn't clear from the product description).

So what can I do? I want to use the phone with Vodafone UK.

I would honestly send it back to the seller as not as described, hope you used PayPal. Be wary of phones from eBay full stop.

Yeah I'm asking for a refund from the seller. I've yet to have a good experience with eBay..

Uh... did you put in a SIM card?

The IMEI is the unique identification number tied to the PHONE.

The ICCID is a unique number tied to your SIM card.

If the phone is saying the ICCID is unknown, it could be:

    1. You didn't insert your SIM card. (Which would be hilarious.)
    2. Your SIM card is bad and needs replaced.
    3. Your iPhone is locked to another carrier and you are trying to a different carrier's SIM.
