I got this unibody MacBook in December and randomly got this line on it which looks like a smudge under the screen. I bought it from the online store (with AppleCare if that affects this at all) and was wondering if I could take it to the Apple Store to get it shipped off for repairs or whatever, or if I had to call the online support.

If you have a local Apple Store, it doesn't matter where or how you got the computer, the Genius Bar will look at and do what's necessary to fix it (either immediately or shipping it off). You probably need an appointment, though.

Awesome, thank you. I have an appointment for tomorrow, but I read somewhere that if you bought it online you had to call in to get any repairs done. Thanks for clarifying.

that is only if you need to do exchanges or something, as the online store is completely different than the physical apple stores. Even if you bought uour computer from best buy, they will fix it, abolutely
