Restore DVDs are machine specific, so you can only use them on the exact same model.
What about contacting Apple and getting replacement DVDs for that model of yours? They should be the Mac OS X 10.5.x restore DVDs.
http://www.apple.com/contact/ - make sure, you get the 10.5.x DVDs and not the 10.6.x DVDs.
I read prices from 15 to 30 to 50 USD.
nice! they probably don't care much about 10.5.x anymore.
If you have a time machine, just use that. Its painless.
RTFM and it will cost about $30 if you can get em.
Looks like you spent all your time reading the manual and not this thread...
Because we are paid on salary and typically goof off without doing much, so there are periods where doing your own research will get you an answer relatively quick.
But for ez ones like this then...yeah...
