Brand of PCIe SSD in 13" and 15" rMBP

    I only care about about 256 GB and up but I was just curious who they are using. I think I read Samsung but I could be wrong.

    yes, samsung. you can tell if you go to system report. the ssd is "SM" under sata and storage

    I think mine is Samsung, this is what it says:
    Model: APPLE SSD SM1024F
    Revision: UXM6JA1Q

    Here is some other general information from System Profiler about it:
    Vendor: Apple
    Product: SSD Controller
    Physical Interconnect: PCI
    Link Width: x4
    Link Speed: 5.0GT/s
    Description: AHCI version 1.30 Supported

    i think i read somewhere that samsung is the only one making these at the moment
