Brazil offers new rights to gay couples

    So the Brazilian Supreme Court has voted 10-0 to recognise the rights of gay couples to pensions, inheritance etc. Not quite gay marriage/unions but a good start from the world's largest Catholic nation.

    Wow- even Brazil is starting to get it. Wonder when we will?

    Apparently gay unions already exist in some Brazilian states. This extends some rights to all Brazilians. Hopefully this will continue and soon proper gay marriage will exist in the whole of Brazil.

    I think it's time the UK rebranded civil partnerships to marriage. We hardly look progressive anymore!!!
