Go get 'em, Bern!
GOOD for him.
He will likely lose, but he said earlier he would stay in until the end.
@aaronvan, I did not realize you are a Bernie supporter. I apologize for my misunderstanding.
From the OP link:
"Next Tuesday we continue the fight," he said. "We are going to fight hard to win the primary in Washington, D.C., and then we take our fight for social, economic, racial and environmental justice to Philadelphia."
Note, he was very careful about how he worded this. He did not say he was taking his campaign for the nomination to the convention, he said he was taking his fight for the issues he cares about to the convention. As he should. I hope he's successful in moving the platform and hopefully the VP nominee in that direction.
and in more breaking news.....today he said he'll be working with Clinton to defeat Trump
which is no surprise really
AKA he's laying the groundwork for when he endorses Clinton.
In other words, another stellar thread from @aaronvan
This afternoon, Bernie sat on the Oval Office while Obama read a TelePrompTer telling Bernie to drop out of the race.
Bernie told Obama to shove it.
You like mischaracterizing things to fit your narrative, eh? The race is over. Bernie even knows this. He's giving the people of DC a chance to vote next week and then he's likely going to endorse Clinton.
"I look forward to meeting with her in the near future to see how we can work together to defeat Donald Trump." is the exact quote of Bernie today after he met with the President.
It's as normal and fundamental as breathing to @aaronvan.
"I'm not dropping out" is another exact quote from Bernie today.
In 1980 not only did Ted Kennedy refuse to drop out of the race, he went on to torment Jimmy Carter at the convention. Afterwards, he was still lauded as the "liberal lion."
Don't think Bernie isn't thinking about 1980.
