Is anyone queuing up this year?

I'm going to wander down at about 1PM to see if I can pickup a black 32GB.

Don't you think they'll have sold out by then?

Maybe, but I'm not bothered about waiting a week or two to save the best part of £100 as well as the fact I'll be keeping it for two years. [Saving is by keeping my £10 PM contract]

So if there is enough, I'll have one, if there isn't, I'll go down next Friday.

    Patience is a virtue. ;)

Never been to Cabot Circus for a launch before - what is it normally like?

Just waiting on my nano sim from Tesco so will be popping down in the morning to grab a handset. Anyone have any ideas of how big a queue normally forms at 0700ish?

I've been trying to find this out from loads of places but no views on it yet.

I've also been trying to find out, typically there doesn't appear to be any webcams in Quaker Friars (doh!) but I have a friend who works in town who is going to go and check it out this lunchtime.

Thinking I may go down at about 4AM, but that may change depending on his feedback!

Whatever you guys do, keep it updated here.

If they are all out of 16/32GB blacks by 1PM I won't bother coming down :p

The last launch I queued for at Cabot Circus was the 3GS and I got there about 6am and there were about 3 other people. We were all kicking ourselves as we were freezing outside and had obviously arrived earlier than we needed to. At 11am there was still stock of all the models if I recall (I went back as my wife decided she wanted one too after seeing mine).

Lol I'm worried that I'll get down there and be the only one waiting at 4AM, that would be bloody typical

If I have the willpower, I'll be there about 6 tomorrow morning. That's a big if though.

Weather is fine, dry if a little cold. Small amount of queue disorder but that's been rapidly stamped out by the Cabot Circus staff. I'd say there are around 80 people here now.

80 people! Will they have enough phones!

    ----------

Queue really is that big, must be some scalpelrs in it, can't believe there would be this many otherwise!

I'm inclined to agree, not 100% sure all of these guys are genuine buyers. Two queues, one contract and one sim-free/pay as you go. Contract queue is virtually empty which is not particularly surprising IMO.
