From the author of the linked article:

Shortly after Hurricane Katrina hit, George Bush flew over the area to survey the damage and coordinate a response. President Barack Obama has yet to even address the situation, never mind lead the effort to respond. Bush got ridiculed in the media for his action, there has been media silence on Obama’s inaction.

For Obama it isn’t just the flooding in Louisiana that he is not leading on; it is also the warzone that Milwaukee has become over the last 72 hours. There have been multiple reports that instead of taking action, Obama spent the weekend, once again, golfing. The Daily Caller reported on Obama’s golf schedule yesterday:

11:15 a.m. Monday morning, President Obama arrived at Vineyard Golf Club, where he’ll spend the afternoon golfing with businessman Marty Nesbitt, lawyer Cy Walker and former NBA player Alonzo Mourning, according to White House pool reports. The weather was described as a “pitch-perfect afternoon.”

“Pitch perfect afternoon?” Not for the over hundred thousand Louisiana residents who have lost their homes, in just one parish.

Louisiana is suffering some of the worst widespread flooding since the 1927 flood that inspired the Randy Newman song “Louisiana 1927.” The flooding started last Friday, after over two feet of rain fell in some parts of the state in just 48 hours.

Meanwhile, Gods and gun folks are taking care of their own.

"Louisiana flooding: 'Cajun Navy' answers call for volunteers"

"Baton Rouge, Louisiana (CNN)They're out in force, patrolling in jon boats, motorboats and even canoes through south Louisiana's new, flood-made waterways, saving cats, dogs and people.

They're known as the "Cajun Navy," and in recent days they've become possibly the nation's most important neighborhood watch"

Hey @FieldingMellish, the new fall TV shows start in about a month. Can we count on you having some new material by then?

Obama signed federal disaster relief to begin 8/11/16. Last I checked, he didn't say his FEMA director was "doing a hell of a job".

Obama's absense does not make the heart grow fonder.

But should a water hazard grow to add a stroke or two to his game, watch how fast the President would react.

I would imagine that is true. But ask the people in Flint Michigan what they think about Trump. Hillary stopped there. So did Bernie and yes Obama too. But not Trump. And if he couldn't even be bothered to visit something he was a short distance from already while in a he job interview process, then why would he go out of his way to visit anything while President?

I'll restate stopping there doesn't mean you care it only means you're a politician. When one pol stands behind putting those responsible in jail and making the Michigan government liable for all future illnesses that can be tied to the water then I'll believe their genuine until then it's more political air pollution

So how many lives does it take to get Obama to deem this disaster worthy of him taking a day off from his golfing? Maybe if this happened in a blue state it would get his attention?

No. But it's a start. Can't really care about an issue if you aren't even willing to go talk to the people involved.

I dunno. Call the White House switchboard and ask.

Clearly not enough have died, so for Obama to care more needed to lose their lives.
    --- Post Merged, Aug 17, 2016 ---
As Obama has so clearly demonstrated with the disaster in Louisiana!

Hey, I do agree that he should go there. But this disaster seems pretty widespread. Where specifically should he meet with people? He can't meet with every single resident displaced.

****ing hypocrites. Had Obama went to Louisiana or Milwaukee, you'd be excoriating him for taking advantage of tragedy to prop up Hillary or some other similar ********.

Finally telling it like it is.

"Louisiana paper to Obama: Cut vacation short"

"Edgartown, Massachusetts (CNN)Amid historic devastation in Louisiana, the state's largest daily newspaper is calling on President Barack Obama, who is being kept abreast of the situation by White House officials, to cut his Martha's Vineyard getaway short to view flood-ravaged areas of the state."

"A disaster this big begs for the personal presence of the President at ground zero," read the editorial published in The Advocate on Thursday. "In coming here, the President can decisively demonstrate that Louisiana's recovery is a priority for his administration -- and the United States of America"

    http://www.cnn.com/2016/08/18/politics/obama-vacation-louisiana-flooding/index.html

Obama pulled the same thing when he'd gone golfing after paying lip service to ISIS beheading an American journalist.

BOMBSHELL: Media whore goes where he's not needed to complicate recovery efforts.

The Governor said Obama is welcome to come anytime but he'd prefer if he'd wait a week or two. Presidential visit kind of complicate things.

What's a sitting president going to do, "wow that's a lot of water". Other than photo ops what's the point.

Going by Chiraque and the gang related deaths, quite a few as we've yet to see any action there.
