Buying another Verizon phone

Has anyone before bought a black/white 4S and months later decided to buy another one just to change colors or storage size? Did you have to pay full price? Or was it subsidized?

I am thinking of doing that. Sell my unlocked black Verizon 4S for a white 4S and unlock it when my unlock period opens up again.

Let's think logically here. If they subsidized the cost, people would be depleting stock left and right just so they could keep selling the subsidized phones and always have a brand spanking new phone.

You will likely sell the phone for close to what it goes for retail, perhaps $100 less, give or take. So, you basically have to just decide whether the ~$100 is worth a color swap.
