buying first macbook simple question

HI guys. I finally decided to take the plunge and buy a macbook. I have all of my music on my ipod, the stupid pc deleted music without asking me to make space. I am wondering if I can move files from my ipod onto my external hard drive and hook it up to mac to move the files there. It is a buslink hi-speed usb2.0 hard drive. model: UII-80 any help will be much appreciated because i cant wait to get the new macbook.

With Senuti you can move files directly from the iPod to the Mac

yep, Senuti is a good program. i've also used broken Helix in the past, but i don't know if it's supported anymore. you shouldn't have any problems.
