So a question.... isn't them paying into the insurance pool better than them not?

It's not like the emergency room checks for citizenship before they treat you.

I haven't moved all that much but every time I have the first couple months of mail always includes medical bills to people with Hispanic names. I'm going to assume those aren't going to get paid. At least not by them. It will be paid by the rest of us in our premiums.

They are going to need to increase the size of the affecting departments (additional cost and longer wait times). This will take resources away from those currently in the State Medicaid program.

    Meanwhile, ignore the homeless.

They already get medical benefits. All they have to do is walk into an emergency room with their emergency medical condition, including labor (which costs between $15k-$30K on average in California). You think they pay a single penny for any of that treatment?

EMTALA - a federal act, has already placed the burden of providing emergency medical care for all, including people in the country illegally, on the backs of tax paying citizens.
