for some reason the download page gives me a 404... weird. Same thing when I tried to go to MacUpdate. Anyone download this recently?

The optimized builds (well at least mine) aren't based on the same code as 0.8.3, but off of the latest code.

but won't the latest optimized builds be based on 0.8.3? or is the latest code not the same as the 0.8.3 code?

Access trouble

I couldn't get to the site using the link provided using Safari, but it worked fine using Camino. Conspiracy theorists, your time starts.....now.

Chimera/Camino used to be my favorite until I switched to Safari. I doubt I'll switch back since I'm sold on Safari's UI, but I do want to have the latest Camino on hand for old times sake :)

Wow. I've never bothered with an optimized build before because I always figured with today's processors the network was the slowest link.

Boy was I wrong. I'm not making that mistake again!

I liked Camino before, but it was so darned slow... which is why I went to Firefox, but it was so darned buggy (OS X version). I wish FF was as clean as their WinXP version =\

Anyways, is the new Camino noticeably faster?

No, you'll want to use the 7450 ones. The 745x and 744x are basically the same except the 744x have less cache.

Thank you very much. I presently am using the March 28 7450, and this optimized version is noticeably faster. It is pretty ridiculous. Plain Camino is faster than Firefox and Safari; this is really fast.
