    Hi all.

I have one of the only 2 models of Power Mac G5 (June 2004 dual 1.8GHz and dual 2.0GHz) which uses the K2 PCI controller on the motherboard causing noise and incompatibililty issues with some PCI sound cards.

I also have an M-Audio Delta Audiophile from my old PC days, which is currently only any good as a MIDI I/O due to the horrendous noise that creeps in and gets progressively worse when used as a sound interface. My workaround for this is to use my Firewire Audiophile instead, but this poses the problem that every time I have a gig (fairly regularly; normally once a month at least) I have to dismantle half my studio to take it with me.

Ideally, I'd like to reclaim that desk real estate (it is at a premium!) and replace the Delta (PCI) Audiophile with a similar card; however I cannot for the life of me find anywhere that will confirm which PCI audio cards are compatible with these 2 G5 models. In fact, all I can seem to garner from much Googling is that the entire M-Audio Delta series are incompatible.

So if anyone here can give me a straight answer as to which home studio class PCI soundcards do work on these 2 models of G5, I'd really appreciate it.

    Thanks in advance. :)
