I don’t think the service is still up. If you go to the website here, http://www.gameranger.com/status/ it hasn’t been updated since 2015.

You might have better luck with Discord in finding what Mac gamers are doing in your situation?

I managed to play with a player through gameranger last week, but it is difficult to find users of the MACSoft version.
