If the HR/ECG/O2 health monitoring features are turned off, is ALL functionality of those inhibited or is there anything running or recording data in the background not visible to the wearer? I'd like to be able to inhibit all functions of the sensors and not have anything go to a data file that I'm just not seeing.

Stick a piece of painters tape to the bottom of the watch? 🤣

Seriously though, I don't understand the desire to disable a potentially life-saving feature, even if you are young and think medical problems are only something that only afflicts the elderly.

Even then it would still be capturing health data related to activity - steps, walking patterns, gait etc.

Best bet is to get a non-AW, or accept that it's going to capture data.

I have reasons, and I'm comfortable with routine health checkups.

If there's sensor data still being collected in the background, then it's a no-go.

Turns out you can turn stuff off.

I think the watch will collect the data no matter if you have the app use turned on or off.
