can I change tab color or contrast in Safari 8?

Safari always had tabs, which are difficult do discern from one another.

Now in Safari 8, it is even worse.
I usually have 10 or more tabs open at same time, and they all seem to blend together to a nice and contrast free grey color.

Has anyone figured out how to make each tab appear in a different color or at least more contrasty?
