Hi there

In theory I'm sure this should work.

Due to my work I do a lot of video editing, i was wondering if i could use 2 hdmi cables on both my macbook pro and iMac with one of those blue tv and laptop cables (forget name) and hook them both up so i have dual screen....?

Not sure if this has been done before or not?

Many thanks

Kyle

No, not with hardware.

I don't know what your theory is, but both machines have video out, not video in. I guess you could rig up something that could use the video out from the laptop and send it via FW to the iMac and then monitor it on the screen, but what a mess.

Try Screen Recycler. It's a variant on VNC, sort of, that allows you to use one of the computers as monitor for the other. A bit slow, but useful.

Thanks! I had never heard of screen recycler but sounds like it would work a treat.

Thank you.
