I've got a Sennheiser Ambeo sound bar that I want to use as the speaker for my homepod mini. Essentially, I want to have the homepod take my request for music, but then have it played on the sound bar instead of through its tiny built-in speaker. If I hooked up an apple TV to the sound bar, would that work?

Thanks in advance!

Just say "play X in living", or wherever your speaker of choice is. But yes, the speaker has to be airplay compatible, or connected to an airplay device like the Apple TV, and added to the Home App.

Ah, I gotcha. Can I set the living room apple tv as as the default output device for the living room homepod mini, so I don't need to say "in the living room" each time?
