Have a late 2009 Mini with Snow Leopard. Am looking at buying a new MBA which obviously has Lion preinstalled. Is there anyway I can upgrade the Mini using the new MBA or do I have to buy a separate copy of Lion from the App Store?

    Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3_3 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8J2 Safari/6533.18.5)

Also would like to know the answer. Getting the new mini and want to upgrade my old MBA.

Sure you can, for $29, from the App Store. The Air doesn't include any sort of install media, and even if it did, that OS is only licensed to be used on the Air.

Is that for the new model? The previous version did.

USB reinstall disk isn't available yet for Lion. For new Air, you need to use Lion Internet Recovery.
