Since ALL the iphones are able to factory unlocked from ebay considering they are IMEI sent to apple, i don't see why the 5 cannot be at launch as well right? cause before it was a matter of getting the ability to do it and now its there. The reason I ask, next month I am going out of the country so it would essential

Once factory unlocked phones are sold by Apple, then I suppose they might be available on eBay. But wouldn't it be cheaper to just buy from Apple? I wouldn't pay full price just to resell it on eBay for less.

If I bought a contract phone from a carrier, then resold it right away, it would still be carrier locked.
