Can one change iChat's buddy list background?

I was wondering if there is a way to change the color of the buddy list background in iChat. I know people are going to say "get adium if you want to cuztomize," but I hate adium lol. If there is a way to do this that would be awesome. Thanks.
PS: And I really don't want to argue about which app is better, adium or ichat lol.

Well I don't like the fact that there's no video support and the file sharing is a bit sketchy (I share files quite often with friends). I also like the screen sharing feature in iChat, and just the general functionality of iChat as opposed to Adium (I've used both, just to be clear). Thats fine that people use Adium, I just don't want this thread to become an Adium vs. iChat argument

You need Leopard development tools installed. Make a backup of iChat before you do anything in there. .nib's are in "/applications/ichat/contents/resources" and beyond there, I don't know how to help you. Take a look at the guides on macthemes2.net and see if you can figure out what's what. Interface Builder isn't too complicated, but I've never used it because I'm not a developer, I'm just an artist.
