Can Sophos AV wake-up sleeping iMac? (or Photos app)?

My sleeping iMac suddenly woke up.

It was on the Photos app (on the first folder - activity folder).

There was a Sophos warning about 3 items being detected.

I've never seen my sleeping imac ever wake up before. The exact same thing happened one day later.

1) Did sophos do a scan while the imac was sleeping?
2) Could activity in the photos app wake up the imac?

I would get rid of Sophos - it can make your system more vulnerable rather than protect it.

How 'bout more generally: when an iMac is sleeping, will it wake up to do scheduled scans?

Could the photos app wake it from from a sleep?
