Just about the only way I ever import photos (in Windows) is via drag and drop. It's the most convenient way (in windows) for me to get a quick couple pictures off my device when I need them.

As per usual my phone asks me if I trust the computer, I select "yes" but there are no folders. It still shows up as Apple iPhone, but selecting it shows that there is no content on the device.

The only thing I changed was updated to 8.1.3

Yeah, I can see the folder as I always have. I don't have an 8.1 machine to test on unfortunately.

Don't have any other iPhones at home tight now to test, but it works with the gen 1 iPad also on 8.1.3... so I doubt it's windows.

WTF iPhone 6 Pus? Why you hate me? T_T

Well for now I uploaded to flickr and downloaded to PC. Stupid...

I am pretty sure he was just being sarcastic. :)
I can't even tell the difference anymore.

Anyway, copying pics off iPhone has always been a PITA. Maybe use something like CopyTrans?

SO I fiddled with uninstalling and reinstalling firmware. That worked after a few tries. unplugging and plugging back in brought me right back to step one again (not working). WTF?!?

Yeah, to me the joke might have been a little funnier if Apple actually let you access your iDevice as a drive on a Mac.

But Apple doesn't. So, in this case, Windows is actually slightly better in that you can access at least part of the system with a PC.

This is why I liked it. Until today lol. I have no idea wtf is going on. This iPhone 6 Plus has been such a ********** headache.

I just hooked up my iPhone 6 (8.1.3) and dragged and dropped all my photos to my Windows 7 laptop without an issue. So it is something with your machine. Have you tried a different cable?

I did. As I noted (later in the thread) it neither works in my 7 or 8.2 machine though. :(

Basically just gave up. Gonna try my wife's 6 awhen she gets home
