At the moment when I try to download it only gives an option to download SD or HD - and if you choose HD it will only download the 720p version.

Is there a way to make it download 1080p only like you can specify in the itunes store on the mac?

Mine downloaded 1080P just fine. Funny thing was when it showed the download progress bar it only showed the amount of data for 720P, then just continued downloading beyond that with a full bar.

Look at what you're downloading too. Not everything is available in 1080P.

It's definitely available in 1080p - but yes - I had that also - it showed the data for 720p but it carried on going above to, what I assume, was 1080p. So I thought I was all set. But when i hook my iPad to my Mac, in iTunes if I go to my iPad and Movies list and click get info it shows it to be 720p....

Hmmm... I don't even have the option in iTunes to look at my movie info for what's on the iPad. When I look at it on the iPad itself it says 1920x1080. Did you select your preferred download to be 1080P in iTunes on your computer?

Have you redownloaded all of your 720P content in 1080P on your computer as well? That's one thing I wish would just be automagical for previous iTunes purchases. If you're looking at the movie or show stored on your computer, and it hasn't been upgraded to 1080P, then you're looking at the data for what's on the computer itself. Not what's on the iPad.

My settings were set to download 720p so I changed that. Is there a way to redownload these files in 1080p?

The option was in tunes or the iPad itself?
iTunes. When I changed it to 1080p a warning came up and said my computer may not be able to view 1080p. That's probably just a general statement. I went to the video in the iTunes Store and I don't see an option to download in 1080p. All I see is a notice saying HD version available for iPad and Apple TV.

You can see the movie info by clicking on your ipad in the side menu in itunes and below it will expand show playlists, music, tv shows, etc which are currently on your iPad. So this is where I see its still 720p.

How do you see on the iPad itself whether its 1080 or 720?

I can't redownload it on my computer as my brother has redownloaded his with his Apple ID so its blocked mine from doing it for 90 days!!!
