iPod touch Can you tell the difference??

Hey i was wondering can you tell the difference between a ipod touch 2g 8gb to a ipod touch 3g 8g thru the box because the 3g doesnt support voice so im guessing theres no voice memos app right??

because im buying one off craigslist and i dont wanna be scammed

The 3rd Gen has the voice memo app on the sticker that you peel off to get to the iPod.

I'm not sure what you're asking.

The 8GB touch Apple is currently selling is identical to the "previous" model. The only difference is that 3.1.1 is preloaded, so you don't need to buy the update.

The Voice Memos app is there, but to use it, you’d need to buy a microphone accessory.
