HomePod Can you Update only HomePod not Mac or iOS 2026 yet

What happens if you update only the HomePod to 2026 and not the other devices, still on 18.7 ?
Is it possible?

I updated my HomePod minis to 26 while my phone was still on 18. No issues.

Like @StuBFrost my two HomePods 2nd Gen and two minis were updated to v26 along with our tvOS on the AppleTV4K. Our two iPhone13minis, one iPadAir, and one iPadPro are all on v18.7 and will likely stay that way until v26 has at least a dot-1 release. Have to say, not a fan of the Liquid Glass appearance.

Not planning on moving away from Sequoia on my M4 Mac mini either after just updating to the dot-7 version.
